User reports that telegraf-snmp data was not coming in SBI UAT environment

 User reports that telegraf-snmp data was not coming in SBI UAT environment



Solution Summary

   Check the telegraf configuration
    Check telegraf service is running  

Solution Steps in Detail

In our case we found out that the credential selected is of v2c . In SBI, devices only support v3, so that’s why connection of all the devices is timing out & no data is received.
     So we changed the credentials from v2 to v3


    We should do following checks:

    Telegraf conf file is right, like always check the kafka details, credentials & if the right vendor is selected for right device.


Corrective actions if any to avoid in future

  1. Always check configuration. Take the backup of the correct running config & compare with the one which is not working
